As you cruise to the various observation sites, you will feel that you are on a much larger vessel than you are, but without the crowded conditions. The “Grand Confort” is the ideal size for a whale watching adventure, large enough to provide exceptional safety and viewing capabilities, yet small enough to access the perfect viewing sites with a minimum impact on the whale population.

Each passenger enjoys ample space to observe the St. Lawrence River in complete tranquility. Designed and built in Quebec, this vessel incorporates cutting-edge technologies ensuring maximum passenger safety while rigorously respecting marine mammals thanks to its exclusive protective hull.

State-Of-The-Art Ships
OUR WHALE WATCHING SHIPS ARE THE STATE-OF-THE-ART !
All of our ships were custom designed and built in Quebec with the prime objective of minimizing the ecological footprint of the whale watching industry.
They are manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility at Recherche et Travaux Maritimes Canada and designed with a zodiac-style, light-weight aluminum hull which incorporates a flotation collar for the protection of both the whales and the passengers. The hulls were initially tested to insure protection for the marine mammals; then the interiors were customized to provide the greatest comfort and visibility for the passengers. All of our vessels are powered by brand new, fuel efficient, quiet, low carbon emission outboard engines.

Croisiere Escoumins is proud to operate our fleet of the most ecologically sensitive whale watching vessels on the St. Lawrence River. They are a patented unsinkable design, and built in Quebec to the highest construction standards.
Croisiere Escoumins is an active participant in the most sustainably recognized and ecologically responsible tourism development in Canada.
To insure the safety of the whales, our ships are equipped with a protective collar around the hulls and are also designed to minimize the water disturbance and surface noise.
The low emission outboard engines are exceptionally quite, therefore causing a minimum sound disturbance to the whales.
Our larger zodiac style vessels provide great family comfort, including a children’s section to provide increased visibility for the younger passengers.
